Kris Hamilton
Kris is the Volunteer Experience Manager for San Diego Humane Society’s Project Wildlife program, where she oversees and supports the volunteer teams at two wildlife care centers. In addition to overseeing daily operations, she develops recruitment strategies, continuing education opportunities, and new program development for over 325 volunteers. Prior to her time with SDHS, Kris was the Recruitment & Retention Specialist for Smithsonian’s Office of Visitor Services, where she developed retention programming for over 5,000 active volunteers. Her passion for volunteer engagement began during time with the Virginia Living Museum as an wildlife care volunteer. There, she was offered a position to work with the volunteer experience team, and her passion for working with volunteers was born!
